When will I be able to use a card reader?

Supporting magnetic card readers and Card Present transactions have many advantages, particularly ease of use and lower transaction rates. We would definitely like to support this feature in the future, but many technical and political hurtles need to be overcome before we can accomplish this.

Can I upgrade from Merchant v0.9?

If you have an existing Merchant v0.9.x user, you are free to continue using the application for as long as you like, even though it is no longer available in the Android Market. However, please be aware that it will no longer receive updates and bug fixes, and all new features will be added to the Pro / Lite versions.

If you do chose to try out the Merchant Lite or buy Merchant Pro, it will not interfere with your current Merchant v0.9.6 installation.

What's the difference between Merchant Pro and Merchant Lite?

Merchant Lite has in application advertising and is limited to 2 successful transactions per day. Merchant Pro has no restrictions, and no ads.

All gateway support and other features are available in both versions.
